Traveller: The Search For More Money (IC)

First of you do not have your equipment on you. As far as you can remember, all your personal affects save for the clothes on your back were seized when you were abducted. (Heinrich's ship was last docked on Volanus.) Considering you spent over a month with each other with nothing more than manual slave labour and sitting, its assumed that you all know eachother fairly well and have learned eachother's past, and also whatever miscelanious things available on your character sheets and what-not.

I'm hoping you have all read both the rules and at least understand the few facts about this Generic Sci-Fi Universe. If you haven't I highly recomend you do that before you post anything.

If you want you can also subscribe to this thread. I think that sends you an email everytime something happens. That way you can keep updated when someone posts something. But if you plan on checking it often it isn't really neccessary.

Now I suggest you create a bit of an introduction for your character, what do they see when they are looking around the cell at you? Plus perhaps you can explain how your character was abducted. I'll give you the specifics on how this abduction could have taken place in the OOC thread, so look there before getting it out. Also you are free to make any actions you want, just keep in mind you are stuck in a cell. You can look around the cell or look through the cell door (they are like the classic iron bars) in the cooridor if you want. You can feel free to try to interact with the other player characters. Use dialogue express thoughts etc.

Remember, take your time to come up with everything you want for your character.

Just remember Taegen, make sure you only say what your character will do, not what he experience when he performs such an action (like what Kruza sees in your case) Some times it works out fine when its obvious like: "Kruza rolls some dice and sees them clatter on the cold floor." Just make sure you don't add "And sees that the dice come out all sixes!" Because that is my job.

Other than that great first posts guys. I may wait a while and let other people post sometihng before really advancing the story.
Oh, also I'm just realizing that I am switching from third person to second person. I figure that when I'm describing something to the group as a whole I will just say "you" or maybe "the brave travellers" or something slick like that. I will then address character names when describing things to that character specifically. I think it will still sound okay even though its usually frowned upon to switch articles (or whatever they're called) like that.

Calvin: Did you read the above posts Colton? I already had to tell Taegen that you can only describe things that your character is going to try to do. You should have ended it where your character looks around the floor because you don't know what I (as theGM) put in this cell. You (as a player) don't have the power to create things.

But of course, this is the first post so its excusable. Really, its not a big deal, I just had to edit it. Just know for next time. EVERYONE know for next time.

I'm excited about how the relationship with Kruza and Fiona will pan out. They will certainly make this game very interesting. They are both Avist and so will have that inate comradery that people of the same race will have when in foreign places, but their professions are almost opposite. Kruza was a pirate, and I assume he plauged the Avista XVI star system's trade routes and such, while Fio was part of the Avist military which obviously is all about protecting its people.

Just waiting for wizfriz to post something introductory as even I have no idea who her character is. Then I will really advance this story. But in the mean time keep on doind what you guys are doing. Its pretty good so far!

Mirtre will certainly be an interesting character. Just remember that he has been in this predicament as long as the others. Give or take a week or two.
