Traits explained Empty Traits explained

This is pretty much for the characters I made, as other character's players know about their characters.

Atellus:

Compulsion/Alcoholism: If you don't ingest alcohol at least once every 24 hours you have -3 to all rolls. Basically is your not drunk, you don't function properly, if you are drunk well you still don't function properly.

Vehicle/Custom Vehicle: I'm sure you know that you personally own a 'Mech. Atellus keeps it essentially as a souvenir from a bygone time. It still works of course.

Reynard Lucas:

Extra Income: Because you ARE still a criminal you get 500 C-bills per month from basic thievery and other things.

Connections: You STILL have a relationship with your old gang, just as former work partners so to speak. Once every 14 days you can try to find you old gang and get information from them. They aren't entirely your ally though, you DID leave them.

Enemy: Rival gangs recognize you as a potential threat, be on the look out, some day they may find you and try to put you in your place.

Toughness: Your pretty darned tough for how you look. Multiply all standarad damage recieved by 0.75 and any fatigue damage by 0.5.

Marsual:

Tech Empathy: All you know is mechanics and technology. You get +1 roll modifier to using any equiptment with a tech rating of B or better (the first letter in eqtmnt rating) out of combat. Also, you get a 10% discount on purchasing technician skills.

Poor hearing: Spent too much time with loud cars and other machines without worrying about proper ear protection. you get -2 modifier to all hearing based perception checks. And -1 to initiative rolls.

Animal Antipathy: You prefer the growl of an engine rather than the meow of a kitten. You don't do too well with animals. -2 modifier to any checks dealing with animals, plus when in animal combat, animals are alway "enraged." We'll find out what this really does if it ever comes to that.

Sixth Sense: you are a strange intuition. Basically a +3 modifier to all perception checks pertaining to being surprised or something. not just simply observing.

Patient: +1 to any "Complex" action or any action that takes a lot of time and concentration. Other things are there as well but we can cover that later.

So Dylan's character has an enemy trait at -4TP and a Dark Secret Trait at -2. He hasn't explained to me what these represent. Aarg!

Darien's character has some things I don't know about either a connections trait, authority hater, rank (though I'm sure he belongs the the Lyran Allience military. at +2 he is a senior trainee.) He also has negative reputation. So I need to know what all this represents.

Another post will be made regarding all characters monthly income and expenses.

Ok, Some of this may be subject to change so lets go.

Authority Hater - After spending so many years under oppression and slavery, Rick grew an extreme discomfort in situations where someone of higher rank and authority is present. This phobia was furthered by the abusive mercenary officers during his years as a child soldier. To Rick, people who excercises authority beyond Rick's short limits will always remind him of the beatings at the hands of his former slavers and officers.

Rank - Despite his disliking of the officer caste, Rick showed notable success in the Korovraty insurgencies. He was quickly promoted to Senior Trainee but is reluctant to go any higher, for fear of being dropped among a bunch of pompous assed officers.

Reputation - At the closing days of Rick's involvment with the Korovraty insurgenies, he made a fatal error that would reflect greatly on his image and himself. Short of hands, the guerillas put Rick in charge of a convoy travelling between two OPs. A little more than half way, the convoy came across an overturned civilian truck, which Rick decided to investigate.
When the truck subsequently erupted and incapacitated Rick, a Jade Falcon ambush was initiated which would cost 23 veteran guerillas and 9 civilian aid representatives their lives. Word quickly spread of Rick's miscalculation and he was ordered on a 6 month forced leave to clear his head.

Connections - As a guerilla fighter, access to Lyran Military Surpluses were rarely granted or possible. So in order to aquire supplies, weapons, ordenance and other materials (including his own Purifier Battle armour "SturmJager"), Rick has learned the ways of the black market and made some shady aquaintences along the way, whom he is still able to contact.

Essentially, I have Rick as currently being in the LAM, but hes currently on leave and considering retiring.
